FW: Encinal Turf

Dear City Council
I received the following email and not only will I not sign the petition
but I would like to express my STRONG SUPPORT TO INSTALL ARTIFICIAL TURF
ON THE NEW ENCINAL FIELDS. I have a young son who is very involved in
sports and continually limited by the lack of adequate field space. I
feel it would be such a missed opportunity to not take advantage of
creating year-round athletic fields with the re-design of the school.
Thanks.

Hi Friends,

The Menlo Park City Council and the Menlo Park City School District
Board are poised to replace our natural grass field at Encinal with
artificial turf.

A small group of interested parents have been attending Board
meetings and mobilizing to stop this decision from being implemented.

If you want to save the grass field for our children and prevent the
installation of artificial turf on Encinal's only grass field, the
best thing you can do now (short of contacting the Board and Council
members directly with your opinions!) is to sign an online petition
opposing the installation of artificial turf at Encinal.

This takes less than a minute and can be a very effective way to
communicate to the appropriate decision makers (your elected
representatives) that you want to keep the grass field at Encinal.

PLEASE take 60 seconds to sign the petition here>>>> http://
www.petitiononline.com/Encinal/petition.html

AND, please take another 60 seconds to forward this email to as many
Menlo Park/Atherton parents, neighbors, friends as you can!

Thanks!
