Dear Council Members,
 
I will not be able to make it to the meeting on Monday night, but wanted
to let you know my thoughts.
 
As a working mother of two children, one in Kindergarten this year at
Laurel and another starting next year, I have worried about day care for
years. This is due to the fact that there really isn't daycare
available in Menlo Park. I'm lucky to have my children at Our School
until 2nd grade, but I've been on the wait list for two years.
 
I really hope that more daycare options will be created, and soon. I
doubt I'll be able to get my children into the Burgess program once they
hit third grade, which worries me.
 
I teach in Portola Valley, and we have New Horizons, an on-site
facility. Hopefully the Menlo Park School District will creat on-site
facilities as well.
