Dear City Council and Police Chief Goitia,
I was delighted to read on the front page of the Mercury News that the
CHP have begun enforcing the speed limit on freeways in the south bay.
Next, I would like to read in the Almanac that Menlo Park police have
begun to enforce the speed limits on Menlo Park's surface streets. I
have complained several times to dispatch that speeds on Willow road are
well in excess of the posted maximum of 25mph. In addition, people
frequently speed down Gilbert ave and Marmona drive. Speeding threatens
the public safety and degrades the quality of our streets for walking
and cycling. Please devote your attention to this problem.
Thank you,
John Higgins
Marmona Drive
