Since we began making loans and grants in 2001, the Housing Trust of
Santa Clara County has made remarkable progress in helping to create
affordable housing options for Silicon Valley families.
Next Wednesday, February 14 we will present a report to the community on
our progress to date: our Board Chair, Supervisor Don Gage will provide
an update on our activities, and we will hear moving testimonials to the
effectiveness of our work. Our keynote speaker, Senate President Don
Perata will discuss both the successes that affordable housing advocates
have recently achieved, and the challenges we face in making our state a
more affordable place to live.
Our program begins at 7:15 a.m. with conversation and a light breakfast,
and will conclude at 9:00 a.m. Although seating for the Investor
Briefing is limited and is filling rapidly, I hope that you will join us
on Valentine’s Day as we all learn more about “Home: The Heart of the
Matter.”
I look forward to seeing you next Wednesday!
