Utility tax

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE listen to your consituents who are now coming to
their senses! I voted against this tax on the ballot - primarily
because (a) we already pay taxes on these services (b) our utility bills
are already outrageous thanks to companies like PG & E who are there to
serve their shareholders rather than the citizens and (c) those of us
who are not on a high salary cannot afford it!

My 85 year old mother who lives in a small apt here can barely afford to
pay her utility bills as it is - another tax on top of it will mean
another sacrifice of some essential items (like food, maybe).

I urge you to reconsider imposing this tax based on the apparent change
in rationale for putting it on the ballot to begin with. Thank you,
Caren Weinstein (Menalto Ave)
