Dear Council members:
What is going on here? I don't understand how we can have a year of concern over a large budget deficit, pushing worried citizens to vote for a utility tax out of fear our basic services will be cut, then be told oh, no, sorry, that's wrong, we actually have a budget surplus of $3.7 million! I know nothing about how to run a city, but I can't imagine how this huge discrepancy could happen. And now we are paying more taxes for a problem that wasn't really there.
I'd like to know how the council plans to deal with this issue.
