Belle Haven School Age Program

Greetings Council Members,

I am a resident/ taxpayer, of Menlo Park, and a parent of two children that
attend the Belle Haven School Age program. I have been informed that the
Community Services Director has requested our beloved Program Assistant
(Vanessa Carlisle) to be transferred to the Burgess Facility. This news is
quite upsetting for all of the parents. Mrs. Carlisle has brought such a
great atmosphere in the program, with many years of experience, great
rapport with the parents as well as with the children. She is always helping
the children, whether its helping with homework, social activity's,
reminding children of their manners, mediating, or preparing the wholesome
snacks. She is also a friendly face for the parents, always on hand and
ready for our questions and or concerns. She is more than a Program
Assistant, she is the foundation of the program!

I fear that taking Mrs. Carlisle out of our program, would not only
contribute to the closure of our facility, but as well disrupt the
children's growth and environment in the program. I urge all of you to
please take a closer look at the decision of the Community Services Director
and please help us to keep our program intact, with our great Program
Assistant, that we have grown to love and rely on to see that our children
are adequately cared for.
