Dear City Council,
I am a very concern parent,who have children who attend the Onetta
Harris Center. The Program Assistant Vanessa Carlisle who has worked at
the after school program for over 30yrs. I am so disappointed that they
want to move her to Burgess after school program. We want Vanessa at
Onetta Harris Center. Vanessa is a educator, loyal, dedicated, loving,
supporting, spiritual, and a leader to all children. The children really
look up to Vanessa in many ways. She builds self-esteem, confidence, and
self respect to one another. She has helped many children reach positive
goals in life. Vanessa is a listener, tutor, guidance counselor,
librarian, and very devoted to all children. We need Vanessa for all of
our children, she is what make s the center a loving, and nurturing
place to go that is safe and positive. My husband and I even went
through the program when we were younger and for Vanessa to still be
around running the center is a true legacy and honor. Please leave
Vanessa at the Center,it seems like we are losing everything from the
Onetta Harris program. Sincerely
